Powders, Granules, Cereals Sampling

SCOOP STERILE SAMPLING SYSTEM - Code: 15820/15821
This one step sterile sampling system eliminates the cost of separate sterile bags or containers; thus it saves time and money in the sample collection process.
Applications - Granules, powders, crystals, seeds, etc.
Sites of use - Pharmaceutical, chemical, food, feed and dairy industries.
Construction - Made of white high-impact polystyrene sterilized in poliethylene bags.
Method of use - To use, simply remove the scoop from the bag, detach lid using the tab, take sample, snap on lid. Scoop is now a container to transport the sample back to the lab. Sampling data can be marked on lid with a wax pencil or a pre-marked label.

 

POLI-SPA SAMPLER SPATULA - Code: 15822/15823
V-shaped spatula with sharp point for puncturing bags for direct sampling. The sturdy edge can be used to break up caked material.
Applications - Granules, powders, crystals, seeds, etc.
Sites of use - Pharmaceutical, chemical, food, feed and dairy industries.
Construction - Made of white high-impact polystyrene (PS) sterilized in poliethylene bags or in white autoclavable polypropylene (PP).

 

SCOOP-BAG SAMPLER - Code: 20454
For fast, convenient sampling of a variety of materials. The sterile scoop is already contained inside the bag, eliminating the need to carry two items to collect the sample and minimizing contamination.
Application - Powder, flour, crystals, sugar.
Sites of use - Pharmaceutical, chemical, food, feed, dairy industries.
Construction - Polyethylene bag, polypropylene scoop.
Method of use - Collect the sample using the scoop and insert it into the bag. After sampling, grasp the twist ties and twirl the bag three times to obtain an airtight leak proof seal. Bending the twist ties to center prevents the bag from reopening.

 

POW FUNNEL - Code: 1750
60° angle, autoclavable powder funnels. Large bore avoids bridging of powders during transfer. Ribbed both inside and outside to avoid pressure lock. Excellent chemical resistance.
Application - Powder, crystals, sugar. Also suitable for liquids.

Construction - Polypropylene.

 

FLOU-ALU-SCOOP SAMPLER - Code: 34954/34955/34956
Coating in anti-stick, corrosion resistant brown Fluo-Kem®Teflon® containing FEP, which complies with FDA regulations for food contact. Handle is not coated so the grip is non-slip.
Application - Powder, flour, crystals, sugar.
Sites of use - Pharmaceutical, chemical, food, feed, dairy industries.
Construction - Teflon FEP coated aluminium scoop.
Method of use - Collect the sample using the scoop and transfer the material into a container for analysis.

SILO-PICKER SAMPLER - Code: 34960
The “Silo-Picker” sampler makes it possible to take samples of bulk goods at great depths to 3.5 meters. The insert depth depends on the density of the bulk goods.
Applications - Powders, granulates, grains, dust particles, seeds, nuts etc.
Site of use - Pharmaceutical, chemical, food and feed industries
Construction - Made of 304 stainless steel.
Method of use - Insert the “Silo-Picker” sampler into the bulk goods. When this is done, the closure thimble automatically closes the collection container. When the sampling depth has been reached, the sampling container is filled. Take out the “Silo-Picker” sampler and empty it.

 

ELLIPSO SAMPLER SPOON - Code: 34957/34958
The “Ellipso” sampler is the most imaginative evolution of this common tool. Its special curved shape allows contact with all the corners of vessels, bottles or containers. No corner is out of reach and no loss of materials occurs. Crystals, powders, granulated and solid substances even thick liquids never fall back into the bottles or containers.
Applications - Powder raw materials, cereals, rice, grains, salt, sand, flour, cement, talcum powder.
Sites of use - All industries and laboratories.
Construction - Polished stainless steel.
Method of use - The spoon is placed vertically in the centre of the product to be sampled. Rotating the spoon brings the particles of sample from the bottom to the top. This enables the operator to counter the particles sedimentation effect obtaining a more representative portion of the sample.

 
MIPAW SAMPLER - Code: 4772
Complies with FIL (Federation International de Laiterie) and IDF (International Dairy Federation) specifications for sampling of powdered milk.
Applications - Powdered milk, flour, sand, cement.
Sites of use - Dairy, food, feed and chemical industries.
Construction - Manufactured from chromium plated brass with light alloy handle - sterilisable.
Method of use - The sampler is placed into the product to be sampled and then transferred to a container.
 
PIC SAMPLER PROBE - Code: 4757
Specially designed for single samples from polyethylene or paper bags, the needle point sampler punctures the bag with minimum damage.
Applications - Powder, flour, crystals, sugar.
Sites of use - Pharmaceutical, chemical, food, feed, dairy industries.
Construction - Made of chromium-plated brass with anodised aluminium handle - sterilisable.
Method of use - The probe enters a maximum of 28 cm and is pulled out with sample ready to be poured out of the hollow handle. A bag or a container can be positioned over the handle for sample collection. The hole on the side of the bag can be closed with adhesive tape or with the appropriate label.
 
MULTIPRO SECTOR PROBE - Code: 4748/13189/4749/4750/13190/4751/4752/4753
This multi-sectored sampler is invaluable for the proper sampling of powders, pellets, friable materials which may become non-homogeneous in bags at various levels. The models with separate sections are mainly used for chemical or physical analysis; the models with communicating sections are used for microbiological analysis.
Applications - Cereals, granaries, seeds, rice.
Sites of use - Trucks, bulk containers, silos.
Construction - Made in anodised aluminium or in stainless steel (only Codes 13189 and 13190) with penetrating tip in stainless steel (for all models) - sterilisable.
Method of use - The “T” handle is turned to close the cells and the steel point is inserted through the bag wall or the commodity. When the sampler is deep enough to cover the different sectors, the handle is turned a half turn to allow samples to enter and then returned to the original position. The sampler is now removed and the different samples placed into containers for analysis.
 
MULTIMAXI GIANT PROBE - Code: 4754//4755
These giant probes are ideal to obtain a representative sample of van loads or truck loads of grain. The multiple sector design makes sampling an easy two-step operation. Ideal for sampling at different levels.
Applications - Van loads or truck loads.
Sites of use - Agro-cereal-food industries.
Construction - Made in anodised aluminium with penetrating tip in stainless steel - sterilisable.
Method of use - When the desired depth is reached, rotation of the handle opens the sectors at different levels and allows the sample to be taken. The sampler is then removed and the samples emptied into a container for analysis. The model code 34959 is specifically used for sampling of peanuts or similar products.
 
ENDLESS SAMPLING SYSTEM - Code: 12702
Based on the principle of the Archimedes’ screw, the device allows a representative sample to be taken at each stage of penetration of the probe into the material.
Applications - Ganules, powders.
Site of use - Pharmaceutical, chemical, food, feed and dairy industries.
Construction - The devices are fitted with a screw auger mechanism which can be easily removed for easy cleaning. All parts, including the main bearing, are made from AISI 304 grade stainless steel. A 9,6 V drill motor, powered by rechargeable batteries, drives the sampling probe, making the system completely portable.
Method of use - 1) Insert driver unit fully into boring tube, ensuring slots are correctly located down each side. Push the stainless steel retaining clip into the slots until it is in position. 2) Fix a sampling bag onto the sample collecting tube.
3) Horizontal sampling from paper sacks. Pierce the sack wall with the tip of the boring tube. Sampling can then start by triggering the driver unit. Care should be taken that the boring tube is clear of any paper as this can be drawn into the boring tube and choke it. Vertical sampling from bulk containers, tankers, etc. When sampling bulk from above, it is important that the boring tube is inserted at an angle to ensure that the sample collection tube is in the vertical plane. If sampling is attempted with the boring tube held vertically the unit could choke on the sample material. 4) When sufficient sample is collected the boring tube can be emptied by putting the driver into reverse. 5) After sampling the unit can be cleaned by undoing the boring tube from the driver and removing the spiral by the driver end of the boring tube on a wooden support.
