The SAS-CYCLONE ARMY
microbiological air sampler has been developed
for Army and Civil Defence authorities to collect a large volume of air in short time.
The large volume of bio-aerosol and the use of Almost Real Time PCR or chip methods
give the possibility to obtain the final results about the presence of pathogenic microorganisms
in less than 2 hours.
It can be used for molecular biological or traditional microbiology tests.
Method of use:
The disposable vessel containing the sterile fluid is applied to the cyclone chamber. The unit
is switched on and the bio-aerosol in collected in the vessel on the bottom of the sampler.
At the end of the programmed volume of aspirated air, the fluid of the vessel is used for the
next phase of the analytical work.
The basic characteristics:
• Sampling aspiration: cyclone according “Cordiolis” principle
• Sampling method: Cyclone
• Air flow rate: 1.200 lts/minute
• Command panel: Volt-meter, main switch, start switch, volume setting
• Construction: stainless/steel
• Feet: Four retractile feet for easy transfer and manipulation
